Successful HSE-Day for E.ON Ruhrgas London
TAP arranged a very successful Safety Day in partnership with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) for E.ON Ruhrgas at Fulham Ambulance Training Centre.
Managing Director Frank Sivertsen
London Ambulance Service (LAS) put in a lot of effort in making the day a complete success. E.ON Ruhrgas’s employees with family members drove in from their office in Millbank by bus. Managing Director Frank Sivertsen held the opening speech welcoming everybody from E.ON Ruhrgas on London ambulance premesis.
Various safety topics
In addition to medical instructors from LAS we also received tremendous support from London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police who helped making this quite an event for all ages. The participants where given hands-on information on many different safety topics such as CPR, Fire Hazards, Traffic Accidents, Chest pains, Dialling 999 and First aid.
Entertainment and knowhow
We also had the pleasure of watching Andrew Burns, a magician who showed his clever skills to a very enthusiastic audience. A good outdoor lunch was served and the Safety Day turned into a very joyful combination of entertainment and first-aid knowhow.
CPR
Practical training on what to do during those first critical minutes after a heart stop. Having this knowledge will help you save lives.
Car accidents happen every day. Next time you might be the first person on the scene. If you know how to establish and maintain free airways until paramedics arrive you will save a life.
A Safety Day arranged by T.A.P is aimed to be an important happening for the young ones. The children got to check out the ambulance and the fire trucks together with personnel from LAS and LFB.
Major final drill when a very authentic scene of an accident was established. E.ON Ruhrgas employees and children joined in with paramedics from LAS to help and comfort the wounded.
