Safety Day for everyday life
Total safety worked in close cooperation with DONG Energy to arrange a Safety Day in June 2007 and Arna Smistad was deeply involved during the entire process. – Home accidents are more common than we choose to believe so it’s important for us to prepare our staff on the fact that accidents can happen in their everyday life. In our professional line of work HSE are important issues but it can easily become just piles of paper or a fancy poster in the corridor. That’s why we choose to invest time and economical resources on visualize what we want our staff to learn. – How do you react when you find yourself at the scene of an accident waiting for help to arrive? Are you doing the right thing, the wrong thing or maybe nothing at all? An accident is a very dramatic situation for everyone and Total safety gave us a good picture of what one might expect to see when trying to help. To take part in different safety topics together with professional instructors was a useful and exiting experience for both old and young.
Children’s curiosity
Children always play a leading role in Total safety `s Safety Days as most topics are presented in their visual perspective. Together with their family they get to try different safety activities along with nutritious food and suitable entertainment. – We were impressed by how the instructors talked in a natural way to everybody from the company leadership down to 5-year-old children. This reflects a tremendous experience on how to deal with people of all ages and in various situations.
